TSUNAMI BOMB RELEASE NEW TRACK “STAR POWER!’ TO BENEFIT SING ME A STORY FOUNDATION

San Francisco Bay Area punk band Tsunami Bomb are excited to announce the release of a brand-new track and music video, “Star Power” in conjunction with SingMeAStory.orgSing Me a Story takes stories and illustrations made by children in need and pairs them with musicians who write songs based on their story.

The new track, titled Star Power was inspired by a story written by a young lady named Charlee, whose partner organization is Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. Inspired by the knowledge that Charlee likes upbeat songs, Tsunami Bomb infused “Star Power” with all of their signature high-energy pop punk with lyrics inspired by Charlee’s story of meeting a superpowered dog named Star, and the result is a powerful anthem of resilience and hope.

“The greatest gift an artist can have is to be given an outlet for their art to have a greater meaning,” Tsunami Bomb keyboardist and vocalist Oobliette Sparks said, “When we were approached by Sing Me a Story to write a song based on a story created by a child in need, we didn't think twice. I read through so many stories, and it was impossible to pick until I came across Charlee's (though Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas) story about a superhero dog named Star. I wasn't even finished with the story, and I already knew it was the one. This isn't just a song, it’s an anthem about getting some badass powers from some crystals that a super dog (who might be a wolf) dug up and saving the whole god dang world.”

The track is now available at https://singmeastory.org/stories/star-power

The listener, you, yeah you, can then choose to donate and in exchange will get an mp3 of the song. 1/2 of the proceeds go to Sing Me a Story to continue their program and the other half go to the organization that is working with the child, in this case Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas.
