PRE-ORDER: "BOMBS AWAY!" NEW SPLIT 7" WITH HAMMERBOMBS

A thrilling blend of comedy, mystery, and unforgettable mayhem arrives in record stores nationwide this holiday season as Rad Girlfriend Records unleashes two San Francisco Bay Area punk rock institutions, in a mischievous and unforgettable split 7”.

Bomb’s Away tells the story of a small-town teenager who receives an unusual Christmas present: two adorable, little punk bands that they name “Tsunami Bomb” and “Hammerbombs” but the gift of punk rock comes with three very important rules:

         1.      Keep Tsunami Bomb away from daylight.

         2.      Never get the bands instruments wet.

         3.      And most important… never, ever give Hammerbombs beer after midnight.

When these rules are accidentally broken, the previously gentle punks explode into action and create 6 wildly destructive, fast-moving songs now known as Bomb’s Away . What follows is a whirlwind of chaos as the two punk bands turn a quiet American town into their own monstrous playground.

Blending the heart and wonder of classic family adventures with the excitement of modern sound effects, Bomb’s Away showcases 2 reimagined covers by each band, whose unique style bring both covers to remarkable life. Tsunami Bomb covers Hammerbombs’ songs “Things Aren’t Going Well” and “I Hate Cars”. While Hammerbombs cover the Tsunami Bomb classics “The Invasion From Within” and “Sinkhole”. The EP release also features two new original songs! Hammerbombs track “Phases” and Tsunami Bomb track “If I Was A Hammerbomb”

“The Hammerbombs love beer, and we also love our friends,” says Hammerbombs guitarist Ilya Slabodkin. “Please enjoy these covers we did of our friends’ songs and this original song about being a werewolf.” It’s important to note this quote was given while he was drinking a beer after midnight.

Things Aren’t Going Well was clearly written for us,” says Tsunami Bomb keyboardist Oobliette Sparks. “We also hate cars and only use bicycles, skateboards, and balloons to travel.”

When asked why a Northern Bay Area band would do a split with an East Bay Area punk band, Sparks simply added, “Because they are the most loveable assholes in the business.” before promptly departing in a hot air balloon.

Partnering with Dayton, Ohio based label Rad Girlfriend Records for the release, Bomb’s Away combines humor, suspense, and state-of-the-art sound effects into a unique vinyl experience.

The 7” will include 2 tracks from each band with “I Hate Cars” and “Sinkhole” being available for download or on streaming only. Pressed with two limited edition color vinyl; Powder Blue and a Mystery Color, as well as a wide release on black vinyl.
